Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes peeled and cut into roughly ½-inch cubes
  • tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Chef’s Knife & Cutting Board

Method

  1. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into roughly ½-inch cubes. Keep the pieces similar in size for even cooking.
  2. Add the sweet potatoes to a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat. Add garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper, then toss again.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  4. Arrange the sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 390°F for 18–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  5. Check for doneness. The sweet potatoes should be fork-tender with browned, slightly crisp edges. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For the best texture: Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Cook in two batches if needed. Cooking time can vary between air fryer models, so start checking around 16–18 minutes.
  • Reheating: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 3–4 minutes.
