Method
- Wash and cut potatoes into 2-inch chunks (leave skin on).
- Soak in cold water for 10–20 minutes for extra crispiness (optional but recommended).
- Drain and dry very well with a clean towel.
- Preheat air fryer to 200°C / 400°F.
- Spray potatoes lightly with oil and season evenly.
- Place in air fryer basket in a single layer (do not overcrowd).
- Cook for 10 minutes.
- Shake basket well, spray again lightly if needed.
- Cook another 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy.
Notes
- Best potatoes: Yukon Gold, Russet, Maris Piper
- Avoid red potatoes (they don’t crisp well)
- Drying potatoes = key for crispiness
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket
- Oil spray works better than pouring oil
