Course: Lunch, Snack
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 2 slices sturdy bread white, sourdough, or Texas toast
  • 2-3 slices cheese sharp cheddar, American, or mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp softened butter or mayonnaise

Method

  1. Spread a thin, even layer of softened butter or mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place one slice of bread, spread-side down, in the air fryer basket. Top with cheese slices, then cover with the second slice of bread, spread-side up.
  3. Cook in the air fryer at 370°F for 4 minutes.
  4. Carefully flip the sandwich over and cook at 370°F for an additional 4 minutes until golden-brown and the cheese is fully melted.

Notes

If your bread is lightweight, insert a wooden toothpick through the center of the sandwich to prevent the circulating air from blowing the top slice off.
